Do not sew over pins: It’s quick and time-saving to sew over pins during sewing. The feeling of a machine needle breaking is terrible. Ask yourselves these questions; What if I have no extra machine needles at the moment? What if I had a deadline and it was late in the night? What if a piece of the broken needle enters your eye (this is an emergency situation)? What if you step on a broken needle the next morning? The above scenarios can happen to anybody. I broke 2 needles within an hour of sewing over the pins holding my fabric. This accident can be avoided at any time.
